Mental asylums have always been an interesting topic. We want to know what really happens on the inside, without ever needing to actually be in one. New York photographer, Jeremy Harris stepped inside a number of abandoned asylums prior to their demolishing, and what he came out with is one of the creepiest collections of shots we’ve seen in a long time.
Harris’ series, titled “American Asylums” captures various rooms and hallways of the abandoned mental asylums after their glory days, where patients lived and died.
