Who said pizza was just for eating?
Some people say you are what you eat, but nobody said, “wear your food.” Little did you know that we have some pizza wearing Lady Gaga’s on our hands – well to a certain extent. It’s all in the design of pizza clothing and use of pizza toppings for clothes that look as though this has become a new trend.
Don’t believe me? Here are some examples:
1. The Pizza Scarf
Does this scarf, replicating a pepperoni pizza, tickle your trend buds?
California-based Raspberries and Rum owner and designer, Airi, has taken one of our favourite foods and transformed it into a long, wearable cheese dripping scarf – and yes they are for sale.
These images of goodness could be the things keeping your neck warm in no time. Choose between a 145 centimetre or a 168 centimetre option – whatever amount of “food” will make you happy.
Wait, you don’t like pepperoni? Well don’t worry, Airi has got you covered – letting you customise your base with whatever toppings you feel like wearing.
Ah, very stylish?
yum…
What would a pizza scarf be without a pizza…. shirt?
2. The Pizza Shirt
No jokes, there is a whole website dedicated to “the pizza shirt” – their “about us” goes as follows:
Love Pizza? Wear Pizza! Pizza shirt.net an online clothing store for food clothes, pizza clothes & the best clothing pizzashirts! Pizza costume, pizza camouflage & unique pizza shirts! An incredible rainbow of choices, incredible!
As a result of this website being, super American, the Pepperoni Pizza Shirt is seemingly the most popular, although Pizza shirt also has a Veggie Supreme shirt on sale, for all you non-meat eaters out there 😉
These shirts that are boy and girl friendly are sold on the website for R360.00 – a “small” fee to pay to look like your favourite take-away meal.
3. The Pizza Dress
If you are not the t-shirt kind of girl, don’t you worry, there are some lovely dresses out there too – some that have even been seen on the runway, take a look!
This jeweled boobtube pizza dress will make your upper torso look scrumptious…if thats what you’re into, it is available HERE.
4. The Pizza Skoen
I don’t think you can get these from PEP with the rest of your tjommies, but they sure are pizzalicious and bring a new meaning to cheesy feet. Gross.
These shoes are actually customised Keds. Blogger Lauren (surname unknown), writes about shoe customisation in her pizzaliciousblog (obsessed much?). She reports that Converse and Vans also supply people with this nifty tool. You can upload a photo and get it layered onto the shoe, from the stitching to the tongue – making your shoes look as delectable as ever.
Here are some examples of customised pizza shoes.
5. Pizza Accessories
Well kids, something we all know is that an outfit is not complete without the correct accessories. I have searched the net in the hope of finding some of the best – to add to the pièce de résistance of this range that I don’t think James Franco could even pull off.
And now you are set. You have seen everything there is to offer to make you the most edible thing around town – just like the intake of cheese – everything in moderation 😉
