John Smit is set to become the new CEO of the Sharks and will take up his official postition on 1 July 2013. With stadium violence a concern at Kings Park, his year won’t be “a look and learn,” he will hit the ground running.
When asked about the out of field brawls he said:
The out of fields form a massive part of what the Kings Park vibe is about. You go around the world, one of the stadiums loved most is Kings Park. It is awhole enterntainment vibe. The sad part is that im pretty certain this was not the first out of field fight. The terrible thing is that someone died here. The Sharks will seek to maintain the vibe around the stadium and there will be measures taken place.
