The subject of infant ultrasound has been cropping up quite a lot lately. It’s completely;y understandable that parents would get excited over pictures of their unborn children, but if we’re all totally honest with each other, you should all know that that no, we can’t see him or her smiling, or waving. Because he or she looks like a weather report.
But things have changed. New state-of-the-art imaging software has been developed by Dr Bernard Benoi, making it possible to take a normal 3D ultrasound scan and add colour, skin texture, lighting and shadows to form a picture in a skin rendering technique “highlighting every detail, every bump and every fold.”
This HDlive technology also removes the background surrounding the fetus, something which normally makes it tough to see the child.
Take a look.
