You’ll recall the McLaren supercar owned by Oscar Pistorius, which we discussed over here. Well this is the new MP4-12C GT3 version. The supercar was sent to the track in New Zealand by McLaren, and it tore it apart.
The GT3 was designed to be “the ultimate track car” for the super wealthy who want to race – that is to say, anyone who has ever spent five minutes thinking about what they’d do with a load of cash.
McLAren will build only 30 models with a retail value of $597,000 (R5,5 million), each.
Race car driver, Craig Baird set the GT3’s first official lap record at 1 munite 49 seconds at the New Zealand Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell.
