The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! Facebook denied for the longest time that they would be launching a Facebook phone, despite persistent rumours. Those rumours heated up recently when the world’s largest social networking company hinted that Android would be their “new home”. Well, the cat is finally out of the bag. The Facebook phone has reportedly been leaked before its launch.
Images revealing what appears to be an HTC Facebook handset are circling the interwebs. We will have to wait till Thursday to see if the rumours and pictures are accurate. Below are some of the images from Android Police, showing the look and feel of the OS.
Hardware details uncovered in the OS breakdown point to the “Facebook Phone” being a mid-range handset by HTC codenamed Myst. Not to be confused with the company’s new flagship handset, the HTC One, the Myst has a 4.3-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and a 5-megapixel camera. Those specs fall in line with leaked “Facebook Phone” specifications we saw earlier this month.
