On Sunday, Slovakian cyclist Peter Sagan was accused of sexism and harassment after he pinched the bottom of a podium girl after the Tour of Flanders race.
The 23 year old finished second in the race. While posing on the podium, Sagan was caught red handed as he smiled for the cameras while grabbing the behind of the long haired blonde kissing the winner on the cheek.
Of course, outraged fans took to Twitter to hammer the cyclsit for his lack of class, but suprisingly some were pro Sagan’s actions. This infuriated Jane Aubrey, editor of Australian website cyclingnews.com even more.
Anyone excusing Sagan’s behaviour due to his age, needs to think again. In the workplace, it’s called harassment.
The cyclist later took to twitter to apologise for his actions, saying:
Was not my intention to disrespect women today on the podium. Just a joke, sorry if someone was disturbed about it.
