This last Saturday, the Stormers lost their Super Rugby fixture to a visiting Crusaders side 14-19 in a tightly contested battle.
But it wasn’t the loss that irked injured Stormers wing and international rugby icon, Bryan Habana most that evening. A number of local residents dubbed the Cape Crusaders who have made a tradition out of aggressively supporting the All Blacks and the Crusaders rugby sides over local teams booed the Stormers as they arrived at the ground, and while on the field.
After the game, Habana took to Twitter to voice his displeasure.
I highly doubt there’s any place in the world where you get booed off your bus, at your home stadium, by your “fellow” countrymen
