North Korea is coming pretty close to dislodging Russia from their pole position as producers of pure YouTube awesomeness.
The latest in a recent spate of North Korean propaganda videos that have made their way on to YouTube, this video shows starving Americans eating birds for lack of food, drinking coffee “made from snow”, and living in tents – provided by a benevolent North Korea – because their houses “blow down easily”. So, just like present-day North Korea then, but with tents.
As a final touch, the video helpfully points out that Americans buy “guns to kill each other, especially children.”
The voice over says:
People pass by, not caring. For they are all in the same situation.
But the fun doesn’t end there.
Finally, we have proof that North Korea’s ruling powers have a finely tuned sense of irony. North Korean aid workers actually deliver – wait for it – cake, to feed starving Americans. The camera crew – who “shot” the video – is shown giving a homeless person a blanket and “some North Korean coffee.”
The voice over also keeps repeating how “yummy” the birds are, and refers to a homeless man as “a former Republicn candidate from Oregon,” who “is now having to get coffee made of snow.”
Of course, there is the possibility that the video is a hoax. But you might forgive us for hoping its real, given that the North Korean government has already released a propaganda video depicting the USA destroyed by North Korean nukes.
