Weasel Brings Football Match To A Grinding Halt [VIDEO]

Look at this adorable Pine Marten. Just look at it.

A match between Thun and FC Zurich in Switzerland’s top football league, a pine marten (a close relation to the weasel) invaded the pitch, running between the legs of players and officials, and bring the game to a complete stand still.

The marten had wandered on to the pitch early in the game, causing an interruption, before disappearing into the stands. The normally forest-bound rodent reappeared on the pitch some time later, and a YouTube clip was born.

Player Loris Benito eventually nabbed the marten with a graceful dive, and was rewarded with a sharp bite to the index finger for his troubles.
