Remember this guy, Evan Price?
Price completed the 2011 Cape Argus cycle race in nought but a lime green mankini, made famous by Sacha Baron-Cohen in Borat.
For the 2012 edition, Price and his mates took it up a gear, with a veritable army of mankinis storming the lower order bunches of the Argus.
But you won’t be seeing anything as fun as that at this year’s Argus.
Incensed by the quantity (and perhaps quality?) of the flesh on display in the last two years, race organiser and CEO of the Cycle Trust tour, Dave Bellairs has instituted a clause in the race rules stipulating that:
2.15 – A rider shall wear clothing appropriate for a family event at all times.
Say farewell to the mankinis forever more, guys…
It was fun while it lasted.
