When four sophmores from Charlotte decided that they couldn’t get enough of the trilogy by Suzanne Collins and were tired of waiting for Hollywood bigwigs to release a follow up film, they decided to take matters into their own hands and made their own. The stars of the ten installments are Maddie, Nick, Eddie, Duncan and Cullen – known collectively as the L4gMast3Rz.

Being students, these guys started out with a hefty budget of $30 and used their family and friends as extras. Duncan’s home become the interior set, and Maddie’s family farm became the playing field. They got their costumes from thrift stores or their own cupboards.
Since posting the videos, the internet has lost its mind. The YouTube channel has enjoyed over 4,5 million views.
Even the new girl at their school who arrived from Ireland last year had seen the videos. “Don’t I know you from somewhere?” she said to Eddie and Maddie in an honors French class.
