One week before she died, Reeva Steenkamp suffered at the hands of an anonymous Twitter troll.
While unpleasant, online trolling is by no means an unheard of phenomenon. But the tweets from the anonymous “Janne LA” in reply to Oscar Pistorius, Reeva Steenkamp and some of her friends indicate that the troll moved in the same circles as Pistorius and Steenkamp. Is this a jealous stalker with mental instability? Is there something deeper here? Does anyone know anything?

Although the Janne LA handle does seem to indicate that the troll is based in Los Angeles, attempts to geolocate the tweets through analytics software failed, and the location couldn’t be verified.
