Not to be outdone by Cape Town local, Dec’io Lourenc’o in the huge balls department, Sverre Liliequist backflipped on to an avalanche while skiing down the face of a mountain. Just because, you know. Street cred. Or something, I don’t know what would compell someone to do that. Don’t ask me.
Competing in the Big Mountain event of the Swatch Skiers Cup, Liliequist provoked the anger of the mountain while carving its face, and sowed total impunity in the face of its wrath, cracking a back flip off the lip of a ledge and landing it – on the actual avalanche.
Here’s a slow motion reel of the event, featuring some rad Go-Pro footage from some of the other skiers.
