Paralympic gold medalist, Oscar Pistorius, allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend after thinking she was a burglar. The shooting happened in the early hours of this morning at his home in Silver Lakes, Pretoria.

According to last week’s Sunday Times, FHM model Reeva Steenkamp is Oscar Pistorius’s girlfriend.

The following is a tweet posted by Steenkamp on her Twitter handle on Wednesday 13 February, 2013.

It is not known whether Steenkamp was any of the women involved in the ‘love-triangle’ altercation which occurred in November, 2012 – during which Oscar Pistorius threatened to break a man’s legs.

The story is breaking, and questions remain.

Reports indicate that Pistorius shot the woman four times without realising that she was not an intruder.

Pistorius is in custody. We’ll update the story as details emerge.
