In other news, the finalists for Zig Zag magazine’s ‘Miss Zag’ beach babe competition were announced. But the two Playboy Playmates with the highest online votes, were not included. High drama ensued..
Naturally, the usual suspects and the only two local Playboy Playmates you might have ever heard of, Jade Fairbrother and Yolandi Malherbe (AKA ‘Juicy Jemma’) were the two in question. You will recall they made headlines a while back, when they had a massive Twitter bitch fight about their fans. I’m serious – you can see read about that here.
Ok, so this is the info I received from a concerned member of the public:
Thought you may want to post/write up about the controversy around the Miss Zig Zag 2012 ‘Sexiest bikini babe in SA’ search.
Competitors Jade Fairbrother and Yolandi Malherbe, had MILES more public votes than any of the other 70 girls in the competition.
Yet it appears, Zig Zag Magazine and Boss Models have prejudiced both of them (for having done adult modelling in the past)! Which is not in the terms of the competition or really fair. Jade and Yolandi deserve to be in the top 6 from a swimwear bikini perspective and the fact they thrashed the chosen top 6 girls by public votes over the past 3 months of canvassing. You could only vote once per person through IP.
Passion – I like that.
So I went to the Zig-Zag article announcing the final 6 girls, and I had a squizz in the comments section – that’s usually where most of the gold is:
That was just a smattering, to get you in the mood, but there are loads more (look out for the one from ‘Esme’).
One person even described the debacle as a ‘national outrage.’
Wow, I had no idea! FNB will be pleased that the spotlight has been taken off them, I’m sure.
And then came the others, who explained why, in fact, these two were excluded – even though they had six times the amount of votes as the nearest contender.
More accusations of the girls being involved in porn were added, which eventually pushed Yolandi Malherbe to the point of tweeting.
Hey, what did I tell you? HIGH drama!
Do yourself a favour and have a squizz through the comments section of that article, as well as Jade Fairbrother and Juicy Jemma‘s Twitter feeds, for their response.
And that’s where we are right now, folks. With the young angels below taking the top 6 finalist spots for Miss Zag 2013.
Cute, man!
Interesting the one girl seems to also be known as ‘Little Harlequin.’
I’ve never seen that before.
Anyway – good luck, little ones!
And to the rest of you, I trust you enjoyed that piece of light entertainment.
Off you go now.
