We’re not sure what you were doing on Friday evening, but this guy was busy making it rain at Taboo, in Sandton.
That toothy grin is the result of nailing the Bond-inspired trip to London for himself and three friends worth R1 million, courtesy of Heineken. But more on that later.
Right now we’d like to present five points supporting the argument that this party melted faces:
1) The prize was delivered in an obsidian black Aston Martin.
2) There were lasers.
3) The security personel in 1980s porn-parody business suits guarding a briefcase, shrouded in lasers. (They also had ear pieces. And also, there were lasers.)
4) These guys’ faces.
5) The musical entertainment ensemble’s name was “Black Motion”
The four finalists were instructed to choose a flash drive, one of which held a secret code that would crack the case, and give them the prize. The winner had the nous to sniff out the flash drive with the codes, and cracked the case to win the prize by uploading the disarming code via flash drive to the briefcase. Every day sort of stuff, really.
A few weeks from now, he’ll be enjoying standard James Bond-inspired activities ranging from suit shopping on Bond Street, to casually dominating the blackjack table at a high-end casino.
And thus the Heineken Crack the Case competition is concluded. Pay a little more attention the next time Heineken mentions they’re giving people prizes worth R1 million – you’ll thank us.
