Most people would never admit to engaging in the odd bit of Facebook stalking, but truth be told, most people love nothing more than a little stalk every now and then. Here’s how you can take precautions to stay in the clear.
Don’t be frightened, Facebook isn’t going to tell those that you stalk that you are stalking them, and nor is it going to reveal it on your timeline like those irritating viruses that pop up and say something like “WOW! Look who is viewing my profile!”
What we’re showing you here is to protect you if you do want to do the odd bit of stalking, and you happen to either share a computer with a loved one who might not appreciate your stalking, or, you, like many, leave your Facebook logged in and someone decides to have a browse of your activity log.
Here is what you need to do. We’ll use Business Insider’s Nicholas Carlson for our example:
From the Facebook homepage, click on your profile link on the top left.
On the right side of the page, click “activity log”.
On the left side, click “more” in the third section.
Click “search”.
Here you can review your old searches, and decide if you’d like to “Clear Searches”.
Click “Clear Searches”
Boom. You’re in the clear.
