For the past six years comedian Kathy Griffin has become known for her continuous racy jokes and outlandish behavior during the CNN live New Year’s eve broadcasts. But some fear she might have gone too far this time. 

As you’ll see from the video below, at one stage on Monday night, she kissed the crotch area and simulated oral sex on co-host Anderson Cooper after making jokes about his “sack”.

The incident occurred during live coverage from Eastport, Maine, where the custom on New Year’s is to kiss a statue of an 2,4m sardine that they drop from the town’s museum. As the people of Eastport kissed the sardine, Griffin dropped to her knees in New York’s Time Square and kissed Cooper’s crotch.

A while later, Griffin and Cooper were joined on camera by rapper Psy and his friend, MC Hammer. This seemed to take the hosts by complete surprise, with Cooper even tweeting afterwards, “That was MC Hammer???? I thought he was a preacher now?!”

Griffin, on the other hand, went straight for Psy and told him:

Keep doing the Gangnam Style, or whathever style you choose. You can’t lose! There’s money coming out of your butt at this point, isn’t there? You are printing money whever you go!

Psy, clearly having no idea what she just said to him, graciously replied:

Thank you, that means a lot coming from you.
