Yesterday South Africans were shocked to hear that President Jacob Zuma thinks that buying pets are part of “white culture.” He added that people who love dogs more than people have “a lack of humanity”.
Zuma also told black South Africans that they should never try to behave like whites.
Even if you apply any kind of lotion and straighten your hair you will never be white.
But almost immediately after the news broke, black South Africans took to social networks such as Twitter to refute Zuma’s claims.
Some even took the time to school Zuma on the country’s history. The picture above (taken by Alf Kumalo) was tweeted by @WordsforWings, and features none other than Nelson Mandela and a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
