Let’s face it, 2012 has been an incredible year for music and movies. From Psy’s Gangnam Style to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Night Rises, the future of pop culture has never looked brighter.
Let’s kick off with a musical roundup of the past 12 months, thanks to DJ Earworm‘s annual “United State of Pop” mashup. Once again this DJ has taken 25 of the year’s biggest pop hits and mashed them into one bite-sized single. Dubbed “Shine Brighter,” the track focuses on songs by Ke$ha, Rihanna, fun, and Bruno Mars – while throwing in dashes of other Billboard Hot 100 champs. Check it out:
As for the movie side of things, YouTube user genrocks has also once again outdone himself. See if you can identify all the movies featured in the video below. To start you off, we’ll give you the first three: Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away, The Dark Knight Rises, and Life of Pi.
