Kenichi Ito is the fastest man on all fours. Ito is a 30-year-old Japanese athlete known to many as “Monkey Man,” and he has just set a new world record for a four-limbed sprint: 100 meters in 17,47 seconds.
Ito is a man with confidence who believes he will one day beat Usain Bolt’s 100m record of 9,58 seconds. Strangely, Ito added “One day, I am certain that all sprinters will be running on all fours, that is my dream.” Well, Ito, we must all have dreams.
Ito’s record breaking run? gallop? waddle? was completed during the Guinness World Records Day celebrations. People across the planet tried to break records such as the highest backflip on a pogo-stick. Meanwhile, in India, 2 500 people set a new record for the Largest Kaikottikali Dance.
