Former Playboy Brazil model Nana Gouvêa posted tactless photos on her Facebook page leaning seductively on fallen trees and ruined cars in a post-Sandy New York. It went viral, with an article on the photos gaining 5.9 million likes, and 5900 tweets.
Of course with 50 Americans killed in the storm the internet took offense. And when the internet takes offense, it mocks. Almost immediately a Facebook page was set up and photoshopped images of the model posing in various historical disasters were posted.
Gawker put up an amusing “Guide to Posing for Glamour Shots in the Aftermath of a Devastating Natural Disaster“.
