The Liqui-Fruit Girl. It’s something of an unofficial tradition in South African pop culture. And every ten years or so, South Africa is treated to a revamp of an custom dating back to a time before most of us were sentient, or even alive.
We’ve documented the dawn and progression of the Liqui-Fruit girl as an advertising institution over the last few week in three installments. Click here, here, and here to get yourself up to speed.
And tonight, Liqui-Fruit will be debuting the brand new LFG (Liqui-Fruit Girl), live on your television.
And just who is this woman? LFG 4.0 is non other than local Capetonian stunner, Nicole Meyer, following in the shapely footsteps Lushano Kuhn, Tanya Eloff, and Rue Essop.

Just like the legendary Liqui-Fruit commercials that have gone before, the 2012 advert focuses on fantasy and refreshment. Nicole is lost in a desert, desperately searching for an escape… she spots an oasis in the distance and a tribe emerging from a lush oasis, dancing in the clear tropical water. As she tries to reach them, fruit begins to fall from the sky. She is desperate to quench her thirst, but instead she begins sinking into the sand…
