Pappa wag vir jou
You may remember the story of Josef Frizl, the crazy Austrian who locked up his daughter in the basement. He was eventually caught out by the police, and will be spending the rest of his natural life in jail. He has now been divorced from his marriage of 52 years, claiming his wife has failed to visit him.
If you need a quick recap of the sicko, here you go. Josef and his wife had a daughter, Elisabeth. When she turned 18, he held her hostage in the basement and forced her to write a letter to her mother saying that she’d run away from home. Turning his basement into a prison-cum-living facility, he fathered seven children by his daughter, three of whom lived in the basement. The other three he raised with his wife in their home, after planting them on the doorstep as abandoned foundlings. One of the seven children did not survive. In total, Elisabeth was held captive for a period of 24 years.
Fritzl was arrested in 2008, and was sentenced to life imprisonment. After four years in jail, a local magazine is now reporting that he has divorced his wife, for failing to provide marital support to him while in prison. We wonder why that might be?
According to the article, a divorce would mean that Fritzl’s wife would no longer receive any of his pension. It also means that this guy is the most dangerous crazy alive. You can see it by the eyebrows.
