This morning we told you about Donald Trump’s desire to get his hands on the US President’s records and passport. This is the so-called ‘birther’ movement, with Trump at the helm. Last night Barack Obama, when asked about Trump’s bounty of $5 million, hit back with a light-hearted reply.
Hitting up the last few stops on the campaign trail before the US elections on 6 November, Barack Obama appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, maybe hoping to convince a few late-night TV viewers to vote Democrat this year. They spoke about the debates, baseball, and of course, Trump.
Trump is one of the vocal supporters of the ‘birther’ movement, a conspiracy group that believes that Obama was born outside of the US, and as such is not constitutionally eligible to be president.
When asked about the debates, Obama replied that he was “just starting to get the hang of it,” but that arguing with a person while they are sitting right next to you isn’t very natural. Leno replied by asking how this was any different to marriage, to which Obama quipped: “With Michelle I just concede on every point.”
