Nothing gets voters riled-up like some good ol’ celebrity endorsement, and who better to scare someone into voting than the original badass action movie star, Samuel L. Jackson. In this short clip he urges Americans, quite literally, to “wake the fuck up”.

Last year, Jackson lent his voice-acting skills to the world when he narrated Adam Mansbach’s book, Go the fuck To Sleep. The Jewish Council for Research and Education, an American super PAC, piggy-backed on this and financed the new ad spot, also written by Mansbach.

The premise is straight-forward; Jackson magically appears in regular peoples houses and promptly begins hurling obscenities at them and forcing them to wake up to the realities around them. Here’s a little excerpt:

Sorry, my friend, but there’s no time to snore.
And out-of-touch millionaires just declared war.
On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay.
We’re all on our own if Romney has his way.
And he’s against safety nets, if you fall, tough luck.
So I strongly suggest that you wake the fuck up.
