The First Trailer For Spielberg’s “Lincoln” [VIDEO]

Steven Spielberg is back with what is sure to be one of the cinematic treats of the year – a star-studded period drama following the life of one of America’s most famous Presidents, Abraham Lincoln.

The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis in the lead and the trailer again confirmed his uncanny resemblance to the former President of The United States. Supporting him on screen are the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader and Sally Field to name but a few. As for the plot, IMDB offers the following:

As the Civil War nears its end, President Abraham Lincoln clashes with members of his cabinet over the issue of abolishing slavery.

The trailer was released last night in a Google+ hangout, with the famous director making a personal, albeit digital appearance.
