This is seriously creepy. When Tracy, a single mother of five, heard strange noises coming from her roof, it was only natural to assume that some kind of animal had managed to find its way in there. It must have been quite a shock to find the man that she broke up with 12 years ago.

It turns out that the ex had just been released from prison a few weeks ago, and was looking for a place to lay down his weary head. He decided that Tracy’s heating unit in her attic would be the perfect place. He knew where she was living, as he had visited a year or so ago to do some odd jobs, but had been sent back to prison in the meantime.

Not that prison stood in his way of re-kindling his eternal love for Tracy – he sent her many letters from the inside, choosing to disregard her insistence that things were well and truly over. Tracy broke up with the man 12 years ago due to his drug use and theft, which included the theft of her own bakkie.

Police are still unsure as to how the man got into the attic, as the only way to get access is through the inside of the house. He managed to get away before the police got to the house, and is presumed to still be roaming through the neighbourhood.
