In case you aren’t familiar with the website AshleyMadison.com, let me recap: Ashley Madison is a website where married/involved people are able to sign up, create a profile, and look for discreet encounters with other married/involved people. The site was founded by Noel Biderman, also known as the “King of Infidelity”. A recent stats gathering and analysis of Cape Town’s members have resulted in the Mother City’s Cheating Hotspots Top 10 list.
All we can say is: Newlands, you naughty, naughty bunch…
And Melkbosstrand, Camps Bay, Pinelands, and Durbanville – you can also wipe those smiles off your faces!
Biderman had the following observations to make of the results:
It is not surprising to see Camps Bay’s presence, since its 24/7 beach partying and holidaying vibe lends itself to spontaneous sexual adventures. As for the leafy suburbs of desperate housewives in Newlands and Constantia – we won’t even go there! The results speak for themselves. Money is not everything. These women clearly want more in their lives than merely a horse in the paddock or hosting a lunch with the school tuck shop mommies. The Biltong Corridor also has a strong presence in our Top 10, with Bellville, Brackenfell, and Durbanville all on the list. There is a relatively stronger Afrikaans presence in these suburbs.
