With all the excitement on display in the comments section of our ‘Woolworths Whistleblower‘ story, we thought we would make some things clear, in case they were missed in and amongst the mayhem.
2oceansvibe would like to place on record, the following:
1) Our investigation and resultant article was not prompted by Woolworth, Quirk, or any other third party/agency. It was entirely our decision, brought on after noticing that the Woolworths Whistleblower, Justin Harrison, had been flagged before via a previous article about fake Twitter followers.
2) Regarding the point of the article and what it’s connection was/is to the Woolworths hiring policy, it is clear that some commenters may have missed the following paragraph early on in the piece, “It must be stressed from the outset that this article has nothing to do with the strength or weakness of Harrison’s dispute with Woolworths, but rather, it is an examination Harrison’s behaviour online, and whether that behaviour squares with his repeated exhortations to do the morally right thing.”
Thanks for playing.
