Last night saw the closing ceremony of the Paralympics in London. Coldplay performed and were joined by Rihanna and Jay-Z. Their song “Paradise” has become the the unofficial anthem of the Games over the past 12 days.
This year saw 4 200 Paralympians from 164 different countries take part. During the opening act, hundreds of Mad Max-style characters burst into the arena alongside a procession of mechanical vehicles. War hero Captain Luke Sinnott (who lost both legs and an arm in Afghanistan) even climbed a flagpole to unfurl the Union Flag!
