A lot has happened over the past ten years – America invaded Afghanistan, the world survived numerous natural disasters including the Thai tsunami and hurricane Katrina, the online social network was born, Obama became the first black president of the USA, Twilight. Over the past decade, the internet has grown immensely and now boasts over two billion active users. Would you believe that ten years ago Facebook, Twitter and YouTube didn’t even exist (they launched in 2004, 2006 and 2005 respectively)? Or how about the good old days when websites simply didn’t have images because they took too long to load? Can you even imagine? Luckily, things have changed for the better and are continue to do so with no signs of stopping. But, let’s not forget where we came from, scroll down for an interesting little trip down memory lane.
