Dan Chung is a photojournalist for the Guardian on assignment at the Olympics. Instead of lugging around a bag full of heavy, expensive equipment like everyone else, he’s using just his iPhone 4S, an app and a few aftermarket attachments. The results have been amazing.
Chung has yielded some amazing results so far using only his standard iPhone 4s, a pair of Canon binoculars, Schneider lenses and photo-processing app, Snapseed. Although it seems simple enough, there’s a lot more going on behind the lens and without his undeniable talent and skill it is doubtful if the same results could be achieved. It does go to show though, that the need for expensive, bulky DLSR’s is waning, and with some basic photographic training and a smartphone with a decent camera, you can go a long way.
After you’ve had a peek at his pics, head through to his photoblog, which he updates daily, for more.
