There simply is no stopping Cell C CEO, Alan Knott-Craig. First he dropped prepaid prices to 99c. Then he slashed contract prices by 50%. And this morning he announced that all standard data packages on Cell C’s network will be lowered to 15c/MB – applicable to both in bundle and out of bundle options!
The new flat rate applies to all prepaid and contract data bundles and packages and is effective FROM TODAY. The move follows Cell C’s decision to simplify its voice tariffs, offering per-second billing with tariffs of 99c/minute, day or night, for both prepaid and contract customers.
What you see is what you get. There are no more nasty surprises when you go out of bundle. You will pay one low rate for in-bundle and out-of-bundle usage. The new, 15c/MB tariff, will suits everyone from the occasional Internet browser to the hardcore technology junkie. Out-of-bundle rates on rival networks are as high as R2/MB.”
Cell C will also continue offering data bundles, ranging from R7,50 for 50MB of data up to R3 070 for 20GB. Data is billed is 5kB increments.
