I’m not sure if you’ve seen any mention of this on social networks over the past 24 hours, but guess what: Linkin Park is coming to South Africa! Computicket has released details and rules on how to book tickets for the band’s performances in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Tickets go on sale to the public for the Johannesburg show this Thursday (26 July) and then for the Cape Town show on Friday (27 July) from www.computicket.com.
Bookings for this event will open in 3 stages:
1. Booking for Linkin Park Underground Fan Club members only
Linkin Park’s management team have arranged pre-booking exclusively for Linkin Park Underground Fan Club members – who have pre-registered on the official Linkin Park website – from 09:00 on Tuesday 24 July for two days.
2. Public bookings for Johannesburg venue
Opens at 09:00 on Thursday 26 July on the Computicket website, the call-centre, Computicket outlets at Checkers, Checkers Hyper, Shoprite and House & Home stores.
3. Public bookings for Cape Town venue
Opens at 09:00 on Friday 27 July on the Computicket website, the call-centre, Computicket outlets at Checkers, Checkers Hyper, Shoprite and House & Home stores.
Important online booking information for customers:
1. An online queuing system will be used for bookings informing customers of their position in the virtual queue.
2. There will be two separate virtual queues for the Linkin Park concerts. Customers will be asked which type of ticket they would like to purchase, before joining the virtual queue – seating or standing.
3. You have 10 minutes to pay for your tickets once you have reached the front of the queue to prevent other customers holding on to quantities of tickets that they never end up paying for.
4. In order to protect user security while making payments online, customers must be registered on the Computicket website in order to book and pay for tickets.
5. Credit cards used for ticket payments must be 3D secure or Verified by Visa (this takes place with individual banks) for a payment to be successfully processed.
6. AMEX and Diners Club credit cards will not be accepted for online bookings.
7. Customers making use of the print@home facility are advised to print their tickets at a later date to avoid delays due to high volumes of web traffic.
Tickets are limited to 8 per person for all bookings.
