Vanessa Hojda
On Saturday jobseeker Vanessa Hojda was applying for a receptionist position at York University. After writing a quick note to her potential boss, attached her resumé and clicked send.
Ten seconds later, she checked her outbox. Instead of her resumé, a beady-eyed jpeg of Nicolas Cage stared back at her, teeth bared in a maniacal grin.
Hojda had saved the picture of Cage, who she says she loves “unironically,” on her desktop after finding it online. Somehow she got the two files “mixed up”.
No, we don’t know how that happened either.
After posting a screenshot of the incident onto her Tumblr account, her story and image quickly went viral. Two companies have since offered her a job via her Facebook page, she’s been interviewed by The Washington Post, and even appeared in a photoshoot for the Toronto Star!
Once again, the internet wins!
