Go get some earplugs. Not for the Bieb’s music, but for the armies of screaming little girls and boys who are born again Beliebers, as Justin Bieber last night confirmed on Twitter that he will be coming to South Africa.
The tweet went out at 23:30 last night, after Bieber was hinting for the whole of yesterday that he would be releasing some big news about his Believe World Tour. There are no details on dates right now, however, looking at the rest of the tour and the shows that have already been planned, it will more than likely be in the middle of next year or after.
Bieber followed up this news with the confirmation that director Jon M. Chu is joining him on the tour to direct. Chu is known for directing the deep, moving and meaningful films Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D and Bieber’s last movie Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Chu said of the last film: “It’s not just the concert … this is a musical movie, when words aren’t enough in telling the stories of his life, [we use music].” Apparently this was because it had a “hyperlink plot idea” none of it, to be honest, makes any sense to me. The announcement was made on Facebook with the two signing agreements on paper plates. I think it was meant to be a joke. It too, seemed nonsensical
As euphoria spreads across the nation with this wonderful news I can only suggest one thing: filter out the word ‘Bieber’ from your twitter feed today. Unless you are a Belieber yourself, in which cases I guess you raise you hands up, shake them around and scream in a high pitched voice.
