Paris Hilton is now a DJ, and booked (bought?) herself a set during the Pop Music Festival in Brazil on Monday. But it turns out she’s not quite “there” yet. That’s if the heckling and booing from the crowd was any indicator.

Deadmau5 also had the following to say after seeing it: “To be fair… the mayans saw this shit coming.” He took to Twitter to protest what he saw as a sign of the end times posting a link to the below video of Hilton behind the decks, dancing to a dance remix of Gotye’s Somebody that I used to Know and declared, “It’s over”.

And the DJ in question – how did Paris think it all went?

I am so happy with the way the set turned out. It was better than I ever expected, the crowd was going crazy and it was so much fun to know I was creating that happiness! It was such a rush! The energy around the entire place was indescribable!

By the way – those sudden drops in volume you constantly hear in the video is not due to a bad audio recording. Either another song is supposed to be mixed in there (could you hear it?), or Paris wants the crowd to sing along (once again, could you hear it?).
