Nikola Tesla was one of greatest inventors of our time, most notably giving us alternative current electricity, which we still use every day. Modern-day illusionist and magician, Marco Tempest, recently paid homage to him with an amazing collaboration of analogue and digital technology, creating a futuristic pop-up book biography. Using an old-fashioned pop-up book, supplemented by layers upon layers of digital projection, Tempest offers an abridged biography of famous inventor Nikola Tesla. The demonstration debuted at a TED talk in March, but only recently made it’s way onto the web for viral distribution. In his own words, the “Virtual Magician” invites you to watch the video:
