Ever since it was announced last month that Manchester United would be coming down to play two football matches in South Africa in July, our comments section has been going crazy. Up until now the best we could do was dodge questions and speculate, but no more. It has been announced that tickets will officially go on sale at 08h00 on Monday, 18 June, exactly a month before the first game. Although exact breakdowns have not yet been released, it has been confirmed that tickets will range between R150 and R350 a pop, depending on where you sit of course.
This will be their third visit to South Africa in recent years, following one in 2006, and another in 2008. After both previous visits they went on to win the English Premier League. The club’s director of communications, Philip Townsend:
We use these tours to prepare players for the arduous season ahead and to introduce new players to the team and management.
It’s also an opportunity for our fans to witness the team playing first hand.
If the demand we’ve had for information is anything to go by, we suggest you get in line early to secure your spot.
