Because we happen to be really, really, really nice guys, we’re giving you a quick heads up. If you don’t mind terribly, we suggest you keep an eye on Ingeborg Riedmaier (above). Contrary to what her name suggests, she is not a German Fembot sent back from the future to Destroy mankind. Nope, thankfully she’s an up-and-coming Johannesburg actress/model/writer. Ms. Riedmaier was the first South African actress to be selected for the internationally acclaimed Professional Actor’s Workshop Series in LA (sorry Charlize). A prolific performer in local TV commercials, she’s also made guest appearances on big local soapies like Sewende Laan, appeared in the 2010 Afrikaans musical Lieflinf and is a highly sought-after voice artist.
Now demand for her talents is going global: overseas audiences can see her mastering the art of looking doe-eyed while being wracked by abject terror in the internationally-released, locally-made horror flick Rancid. So when Ingeborg Riedmaier comes along and knocks your socks off, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
