Sanlam’s National Start Something Day is an opportunity for you to prove that you are innovative, and can make a success of that dream that’s been floating around in your head.
What have you always dreamed of?
Do you desire to contribute meaningfully to the economic and social growth of our country?
Do you realise that you’re living in a country with huge potential for economic growth?
Sanlam thinks so, and that’s why they want you start your dream, and turn it into a reality, with Start Something Day.
All you need to do is start!
Nkateko Makaringe was the worthy recipient of a leg up from Sanlam through the Start Something Day programme, and this is her story:
Nkateko Makaringe chicken farm is well on its way! With 100 white chickens and 200 broilers she’s certainly got her hands full. After doing a bit of Math Nkateko decided that it would probably be better to use the ground she has to get the chicken part of the business going, before she moved on into the vegetables.
Three people have kindly offered to assist her with the project and are doing so in good faith, because until the business starts to make some money, Nkateko can’t afford their salaries. Her three helpers have pledged to help her get things going, and everyone is chipping in to get the chickens settled and start on the veggie garden.
So stop procrastinating and embrace the philosophy of starting something by getting over to the Sanlam National Start Something Day homepage, and pledge your start. Who knows, Sanlam might even help you turn that dream into a reality.
And do it today. Because every day is an opportunity to start something.
