The City of Cape Town has announced that the IRB Junior World Championships matches scheduled for Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch have been moved to the Cape Town Stadium, and Newlands Rugby Stadium. The City made a joint decision with the IRB in light of adverse pitch conditions at Danie Craven Stadium. The Baby Boks play England at Cape Town Stadium tomorrow at 18h45.
Cape Town Stadium will host the last round of pool matches previously scheduled for the Danie Craven Stadium tomorrow.
There are three big games now taking place at the stadium tomorrow, including Ireland versus Italy, France versus Australia, and the Baby Boks closing out the evening against top of Pool B’s, England.
Currently the Baby Boks are sitting in second place in that pool.
Other matches at the University of Western Cape Stadium in Cape Town remain as scheduled.
In another development, Newlands Stadium will now host both semi-finals, and the fifth place semi-final on 17 June.
The third place play-off, and IRB Junior World Championship 2012 final on 22 June, will also take place at Newlands.
Kick-off times and broadcast arrangements remain the same for tomorrow’s schedule, as well as the remaining semi-final, play-off, and final matches.
Fans who purchased tickets for the remaining matches at the Danie Craven Stadium will be able to swap them for tickets at other venues, SARU said.
You can purchase tickets at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets. Check out the IRB website for more.
