I think it’s time to start scouting out high ground and keeping a shotgun close by. The signs of the Zombie Apocalypse are drawing ever closer, friends. First we had the Miami Cannibal, and now we have the dead waking up in South America. Ready yourselves, it’s coming.
Our latest warning of the impending attack of the undead comes from Brazil. In the little northern town of Belem, a boy by the name of Kelvin Santos was diagnosed with pneumonia. During his treatment, the boy stopped breathing and doctors pronounced him dead at 19h40 in the evening. His body was then handed over to his family to prepare for burial. The family proceeded to take the body home, where a wake was held throughout the night with grieving relatives. The boy’s body lay in an open coffin.
Then – an hour before his funeral was due to begin – Kelvin sat upright in his coffin and said: “Daddy, can I have some water?”
What. The. Fuck.
According to the boy’s father:
Everybody started to scream, we couldn’t believe our eyes. Then we thought a miracle had taken place and our boy had come back to life. Then Kelvin just laid back down, the way he was. We couldn’t wake him. He was dead again.
He was buried later that day at 17h00. I would keep an eye on that grave. Seriously. The chances of an arm emerging from the dirt on the prowl for brains are just too damn high.
The apocalypse is coming, people. The signs are here. Don’t say you weren’t warned. I’ll be in my tower, wielding a shotgun.
