After boasting on Twitter that she got out of a R2 500 fine “for going 140 in a 60 zone” by paying a traffic cop R30, FHM model Sabina Essa received a call from Justice Project SA CEO Howard Dembovsky.

I forgot to mention, she also added “Bwahahahaha” to the tweet for some added dramatic effect. When another Twitter user asked whether she had offered the bribe, she responded with: “I didn’t offer, dumb-ass. They asked what I had. Of course, I’m gonna take the offer”.

The full tweet read:

“Just got out of a R2?500 fine for going 140 in a 60 zone. R30! Bwahahahaha. I LOVE JMPD,”

But when speaking to Dembovsky on the phone – who saw, and was horrified by her tweet –  she confessed however that she merely sent the tweet for “some attention” from her followers.

I honestly don’t know which of the two possible scenarios is worse.

When scanning Essa’s Twitter timeline, the original tweet cannot be found. But here is a response she tweeted to someone who obviously didn’t get the joke:
