“Back to you, Sally!”
BBC Scotland viewers got a surprise at lunchtime today when Prince Charles himself appeared on their screens after the usual daily Reporting Scotland news broadcast and presented the regional weather report.
Standing in front of the BBC’s weather map, Prince Charles delivered a report based on a specially written script which included references to royal residences in Scotland.
Delivering the performance of a lifetime, he said,
The best of the bright and dry weather will of course be in the northern isles and the far north of the mainland. So, a little hazy sunshine for the Castle of Mey in Caithness.
But a cold day everywhere with temperatures of just 8C and a brisk northerly wind. Thank God it isn’t a bank holiday.
HRH the Prince of Wales, and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall visited BBC Scotland’s headquarters in Glasgow today as part of their Scottish tour during the annual Holyrood Week celebrations. They also spent some time with students at a local University.
