Director Morgan Spurlock, made famous by his 2004 documentary ‘Supersize Me’, is at the reins of ‘Mansome’, a documentary that looks explore the definition and role of a “real man” in the contemporary world. The film features several candid interviews with ordinary civilians, celebrities and some proven, real men.
Ben Silverman, Will Arnett, and Jason Bateman are all executive producers, the latter two leading the charge in front of the camera. Along their voyage of discovery they cross paths with a host of interesting characters including Isaiah Mustafa, aka The Old Spice Guy, and funny men Paul Rudd and Zach Galifiniakis, all of who weigh in on some of the serious issues that face the 21st Century man like, “the obsession with facial hair to body dysmorphic disorder.”
Whatever your views on the subject, I have no doubt that if nothing else the film will be jolly good laugh. Now I must go tweeze before I face the harsh light of day!
