These may be the three most terrifying words you read today: Mayor Kim Kardashian. The reality TV star has stated that she wants to run for mayor in 2017, “for real.” Whether or not she fully grasps the gravity of such an office is unknown, but it should promise to be an amusing campaign, if nothing else.
The city of Glendale, where Kardashian is a registered voter, has laid out the following conditions, should she wish to run.
City Clerk Ardashes Kassakhian (yes, that is his real name) has clarified that a candidate must be a registered voter in Glendale, residing in the city 90 days prior to the election. He said there was no requirement on a candidate’s length of residency and said anyone seeking elected office must collect 100 endorsement signatures.
The position is, luckily, nothing more than a figurehead. In this case, a very empty one. Why Glendale? “Because it’s, like, Armenian town.”
