It’s common knowledge that The Rotherham pizza from Butlers is one of their top sellers – right up there with the HMS, in fact. And while this specially crafted combination has become a firm favourtie of many a 2oceansviber out there, I have noticed a lot of you are not aware that it is more than just the ingredients which make it special.
Sure, the combination of feta, bacon and salami seems to culminate in a taste sensation second to none, there is so much more to the mighty Rotherham than meets the – ahem – taste buds.
You see my friends, the Rotherham is made with a thin base – as standard. While many people prefer their Butlers pizzas on a thin base, they are aware that this piece of information must be given to the telebutleress, when ordering. Not with the Rotherham – it comes standard on a thin base.
And what’s more, the Rotherham comes standard with HALF the normal cheese. Yup, you heard me. They use only half the normal amount of cheese used on a pizza. So while some of you might see this as sacriledge and you might argue the ‘drip’ is all part of the process – I prefer not to. Not that you’d notice…
So, in a way, The Rotherham pizza is actually a healthy alternative. In a way.
Butlers are thinking of introducing an “a-la’Rotherham” concept, which will allow you to apply those two extra rules (thin base and half the normal cheese) to any other pizza – without explaining them individually. So you could just say “I would like the HMS, a-la-Rotherham” – which would result in an HMS being made on a thin base with half the normal cheese.
Not that you would do that.
Because the HMS is an inferior pizza.
